Lindsey McGowen begins as new CAMTech Assessment Coordinator

We are fortunate that Dr. Lindsey McGowen will serve as CAMTech’s new Assessment Coordinator. Dr. McGowen is a Research Scholar in the Applied Social and Community Psychology Program of the Department of Psychology at North Carolina State University. Dr. McGowen has pioneered work on program sustainability for cooperative research centers. She serves as the Director of the NSF-sponsored Industry-University Cooperative Research Centers (IUCRC) Evaluation Project.

We welcome Jessica Van Erden as the UK Site Coordinator

Jessica Van Erden transferred to the University of Kentucky Department of Entomology in February 2017 after working for the University of Kentucky Department of Pediatrics for 5 years. She has replaced Alex Hesler as the CAMTech Site Coordinator for the University of Kentucky and also serves as a Staff Support Associate for the Department of Entomology. Three representatives with diverse backgrounds (Chemistry, Engineering, Agriculture) from the agricultural industry sector will be presenting and answering questions, 1- 3 pm on Wednesday, October 14 in the Campanile Room, MU. See flier for full details. This event is open to all but provides a particularly good opportunity for graduate students and postdocs to gain insight into careers within the commercial sector.

CAMTech Spring 2015 IAB meeting, May14-15

The Spring 2015 IAB meeting will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, beginning with a reception on the evening of Thursday, May 14. A full day meeting will be held on Friday, May 15 ending with dinner. Attendees will be free to depart on Saturday, May 16.

The fourth Industry Advisory Board meeting for the Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC), the Center for Arthropod Management Technologies (CAMTech) will be held at the Ellis Hotel in Atlanta, GA, May 14-15. The meeting will start with a reception at 7 pm on Thursday, May 14, and end on Friday, May 15.
